Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez , on September 2, 1966 is an American and Mexican actress and producer. In Mexico, she began her professional career in the role as Teresa in the television series (1989-1991) and El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she was nominated for an Ariel Award. She quickly made herself known in Hollywood with roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) as well as Dogma (1999). Hayek's portrayal as Frida the painter in Frida (2002) the film that she also produced, was what made Hayek the first Mexican actress to win the Academy Award [6]. It also earned her the Golden Globe Award nomination, Screen Actors Guild Award nomination, and British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on filmmaking while also appearing in action-oriented films like Once Upon a Time in Mexico
