Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah (born in India) is an Indian performer, singer-songwriter, and musician. Her main focus is Tamil as well as Malayalam films. Her acting debut was with the Tamil film Pachaikili Muthucharam and Malayalam debut with Annayum raolum. Andrea Jeremiah was born to an Anglo-Indian family in Arakkonam Tamil Nadu.Andrea's father is a lawyer at the Madras High Court. She also has a younger sister, currently employed as a research associate in Leuven Belgium. Jeremiah was brought up as a child in Chennai. He was a student at National Public School. After the completion of his studies, he attended Women's Christian College. She has said that she was quite a geek and wanted to be a psychiatrist until she completed her 12th board exams.Andrea was a classical pianist when she was just eight. Young Stars was the Jackson Five-style band that Andrea joined at 10-years-old. This led to her debut singing career and early music composition. She performed as a stage performer at her college and was a part of in several plays produced through The Madras Players, EVAM and other theatre groups. Andrea was the President of The Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her professional stage career by appearing in Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. In 2006, her role in the Leo Coffee commercial included Shiva. She also acted as a character in Podhigai's serial. She performed throughout India. She had a small role in the Kanda Mudhal finale (2005). She sang for Gautham Vasudev's Vettaiyaadu. He asked her to be one of his lead female characters for Pachaikili Muthucharam. Andrea portrays Kalyani in the film that is a re-imagining of James Siegel's novel Derailed. Her husband is implicated in an affair with her and she is subsequently blackmailed. Andrea was selected for the role following the actresses Simran Shobana and Tabu were approached. which released in early 2010. In 2011, she accepted the role of a support in the film. Venkat Prabhu, who starred in Mankatha. The film was released on August 11, 2011. Annayum Rasoolum by Rajeev Ravi, the romantic comedy film she premiered in Malayalam with was released on the 11th of August, 2013.
